Motor Officer Jamie Royal
Jamie Royal was born in 1956 to loving parents Jim and Terri Royal.
He had two brothers, Bob And Jeff.
He graduated from El Paso Community College, (currently known as Pikes Peak Community College), with a degree in Police Science.
Detective Royal was happily married for over 30 years. He and his wife had two children. He was an attentive, loving father, husband, son, brother, and son-in-law who cherished his family.
Royal served the western slope with the Garfield County Sheriff's Department for five years. Then, he applied for and was hired by the Colorado Springs Police Department. He remained employed by CSPD until his death.
Known for robust laughter and unfailing compassion, he was often asked for his wise counsel. Royal volunteered countless hours helping whomever he contacted. Jamie showed love daily by doing his best to make other's lives better.
He spent his life serving and caring for others. Jamie was deeply involved and highly respected in his church. He tried to reflect Christ's light, sharing Jesus' gift of eternal life as opportunities came.
As a teenager, he gave his life to Jesus Christ. Although, not immune to life's struggles and temptations, his walk with God significantly deepened as he matured. He finished his earthly life leaving a profound impact.
Jamie's hobbies included fishing, hiking, camping, both snow and water skiing, as well as shooting. He loved being surrounded by family and friends.
