On December 12, 2010, Detective Jamie Royal of the Colorado Springs,
Colorado Police Department experienced minor vision problems.
Within five days, he:
Three days post surgery, Detective Royal’s oncologist told him, "You have 3-4 months to live."
Many people continue sharing how their life is touched by Fearless Ministry!
The gentleman prayed and asked Jesus to forgive his sin and come into his life!
2021 was an exciting year ; God continued answering prayers and gave direction!
I, Denise, began this year asking God to show me where to donate the remaining “In Memory of Jamie Royal” Bibles.
The following is the how God answered:
In February, after finding a business card for a police chaplain among Jamie’s things, I called the listed phone number. The chaplain agreed to come by the next week and see if the Bibles would work for those in custody.
His eyes filled with tears as he gazed into the box of books. “I didn’t expect such nice Bibles. I know just where these will go! Thank you so much!”
As the year progressed, I wondered, “Is Fearless ministry still relevant? After all, it’s been ten years. How will the website, (jamieroyalfearlessministry.com), continue to reach more people?” I prayed,” Lord, if you want me to continue giving away the ministry’s bookmarks, please give me a sign.”
God faithfully answered:
A month or two passed before the first opportunity presented itself. While waiting in an extremely long line to make a purchase, I noticed two uniformed Colorado Springs Police officers at the service counter. They appeared to be purchasing backpacks to give to needy children for the new school year.
As the line edged forward, I didn’t believe this was a coincidence. I retrieved two bookmarks from my purse. I silently prayed again, “Lord, if You want me to talk to these officers, please have them still be there when I reach the counter.”
Finally, the officers were at my left side. “Excuse me,” I commented. “Thank you for your service. I have something for you.” I handed the bookmarks to them. “Did either of you know Detective Royal?”
The older officer replied, “Jamie?” I nodded. The officer resumed speaking, “Yes! I worked with him!”
I explained, “If you go to the website listed on the bookmark, you can see a video of him sharing his story. If you turn it over, you’ll see a picture of him.”
A man I hadn’t noticed spoke up, “Detective Royal?”
The senior officer answered, “Yes.” His gaze turned to me. “We were talking about him last week.”
The gentleman interjected, “Yeah! You mean this is that officer?”
“Yes.”
“He was a motorcycle officer too?”
“Yes, he was a detective, motor officer, patrol, neighborhood police… he did everything!”
The individual spoke to me, “Do you have another one of those?”
“No, I’m sorry, I only have those two with me.”
The officer commented, “You can have mine; we’ll share.
Next, God opened a second opportunity:
Several days later, I noticed a deaf woman in a doctor’s waiting room. I again retrieved a bookmark and handed it to the lady. I pointed to the website address and used American Sign Language to communicate with the hearing-impaired individual. Turning the bookmark over, I signed, “This was my late husband. You can see his story in ASL here.”
The woman quickly looked up the website.
And a third occasion is revealed!
A few weeks later, I saw several firefighters and gave them bookmarks. One fireman mentioned, “Who's the picture of the police officer?.”
“That was my late husband.”
“What was his name?”
“Detective Royal.”
“Jamie?’
“Yes.”
“What do you mean “late?”
“He died ten years ago.”
“I’m so sorry! I haven’t seen him for about fifteen years. I didn’t know he died!”
God used this to encourage me to pass out bookmarks to firefighters so they can also view this website.
